Three Enemies of the Remnant

I was a junior in college when God started a new work in me. I received a prophetic word over my life that altered my prayer life, my vision and the goals for myself and my future. I’ve been a Christian for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until then that my life changed. It was the first time my eyes were opened to the supernatural realm and how real it is. It was the first time I started to pray in a different way, a way of speaking things into existence.

The next year, I went to my first prophetic conference that took place on 8/8/08. If you know anything about God’s numbers, the number eight means “new beginnings.” And what a new beginning I started that weekend. I left that conference not only a completely different human, but a completely different spirit. My eyes, ears, heart, mind – all of it – were forever changed. I then fasted for 7 days afterwards, the first time I had ever done that as well. From that point on, my hunger and thirst for the things of God, His kingdom and seeing Him advance and smash the enemy has been my heart’s desire.

Fast forward, after being married for several years, my husband and I walked through the toughest, darkest time of our lives – infertility. Along with that, we suffered two miscarriages. While walking through that time, my heart hurt but my love and longing for God continued. I dug my heels in and sought after Him more than I ever had. I spent countless hours in prayer on my face before Him – mostly begging for a child – but also just telling Him how much I wanted to know Him. It was then that He started downloading into me the mantle that He put on my life – the one that was first spoken over me as a junior in college. You see, it was in the wilderness where God met me. It was where I had a choice: am I going to give up or persevere? It was there that I birthed something spiritually while desiring to birth something naturally. Looking back, I would not trade that time for anything. Do I wish I could’ve avoided walking through that? Absolutely. But knowing what I know now, knowing what God put inside of me because of it, was worth it.

It was then that my assignment was made known to me: lead and teach the Remnant in the end times.

With this international pandemic going on, I have pressed in even harder to Him. My desire is to see believers waking up. Waking up to truth, seeing deception for what it is, and finally seeing Jesus for who He is – so real, so near and longing to use us! While seeking Him, He spoke very clearly to me and said,

“There are three things that are and will continue to be the enemy of My People, my remnant: Apathy, Complacency and Ignorance. It’s time to expose and eliminate the works of the enemy. ”

I then had a vision of a church building, a chapel with a steeple. It had a massive blanket over it. Suddenly I saw the steeple start ripping through the top of the blanket and a crown of thorns descended from heaven and encircled the church.

I believe the Lord is saying that His church is waking up to what has put them asleep for so long, and as we walk with Him, He will protect us. We may be mocked, like the crown of thorns that they placed on Jesus, but thorns also protect. It’s time that we WAKE UP and advance His kingdom.

I decided to look up the definitions of apathy, complacency and ignorance. I shouldn’t have been surprised to see the exact condition the church has been in:

Apathy: absence or suppression of passion, emotion or excitement; a lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting; passive

Complacency: a feeling of quiet pleasure or security, often while unaware of some potential danger, defect or the like; self-satisfaction or smug satisfaction with an existing condition

Ignorance: lacking in knowledge or training (ignorant), lack of information; uninformed, unaware

If that doesn’t describe the state of the church, I don’t know what does. The enemy has suppressed our passion for Christ. He has made us passive in our stance and morals. We compromise with the world when we should be standing up to it in love. We don’t care what is going on around us because we feel comfortable. which leads to complacency. We like that we can go to church on Sundays and go home. We don’t want to be pushed any further. We like to feel good about ourselves for getting up and getting out of the house on a Sunday morning all the while the enemy is lurking around and deceiving so many. But we’re completely ignorant of what he’s doing. We have fallen asleep to the spirit realm: if the enemy can keep us unaware of what he’s doing then we aren’t a threat. But I’m here to tell you, WAKE UP. The Lord is exposing him right and left and if you are still sleeping, you can be easily deceived.

Remnant, it’s time for us to take a stand against the enemy. He is real and he is working HARD to keep us asleep. Your voice needs to be heard! The end-time army is arising. Do you want in? Do you want to take ground back from Satan and advance the Kingdom of God? Stop living your life in apathy, complacency and in ignorance. God is moving!! I don’t know about you, but I’m going. I’m going where He’s going, I’m going to say what He tells me to say, and I’m doing what He tells me to do. I refuse to let Satan have his way. I refuse to stand by and let the church be deceived. First repent then alter the course of your life.

Be careful not to follow man, for men are fallen (I say men referencing mankind, not the male gender). Follow after God and Him alone. Even Solomon in all his wisdom and after SEEING GOD TWICE, turned from Him and made altars to other gods (1 Kings 11). Listen to God’s voice, do what HE says. Hunger and thirst after righteousness and holiness. We have got to get out of our laziness and learn to advance the Kingdom of God.

There has been a line drawn in the sand; which side are you going to stand on?
