Answering the Most Asked Questions

Part 2

Question: What are some baby steps a believer can take to learn more about living in the fullness of God? What are some simple applications to implement?

If the Father has enlightened your heart to see his beautiful ways and purpose in them, we recommend the best steps to take are to start observing his holy days. You may not know everything – and that is ok! – just starting somewhere is a start. We always like to recommend Shabbat as the first step. From Friday night to Saturday night, unplug. Do no regular work, don’t cook, don’t clean…just rest with Him and your family. Maybe there’s a community you can join for a study. Maybe it’s turning off your phone, getting into the Word, and going for a walk with your kids. Be intentional. Start by looking at Saturday as “this is a day I will rest with my Father, listen for his voice and allow him to restore me.” Turn Sunday into your church, errand-running, yard work day. It may be easier said than done at first, but after doing this for a few months you will see a clear difference in your life. It will mean putting up boundaries and saying ‘no’ to things, but the order of your life will fall into place where it should because the current of your life will flow directly into God’s. Preparation is key. You’ll have to prep food on Friday to eat on Saturday, do all your laundry (or save it for Sunday), clean your house up, etc, all before Friday night. It will become routine. Yeshua stresses preparation (10 virgin parable) over and over again. It’s an important aspect of following him. Only those that are prepared are ready to meet the King.
