It’s been way too long since I’ve posted anything! A lot has been going on with us personally (good stuff!), and I’ve completely gotten behind. Honestly, I’ve been waiting for the Lord and wrestling with what He finally told me to say.
So much is going on in the world, and I’m not sure how to even express what I’m feeling adequately. This blog is a little different than my previous ones. In my very first blog, I mentioned the Lord wanted me to share certain things that He’s shown me about the times we’re living in and about His bride. This is one of those times, so here we go.
A lot of you know about our band, Remnant 23. The name comes from the end-time people, the remnant, that are called to be the Bride of Christ. Those that want Jesus and only Jesus. Those that He will return to get and bring home. (Side note, the 23 is because the book of Revelation ends at chapter 22 – we want to be that remnant of people that take the name of Jesus into eternity. Also, Jeremiah 23:3 talks about the remnant.)
It’s time for the Remnant to arise.
Every negative thing we face in life is a battle against the spirits of hell. Disease, sickness, strife, discord, chaos, etc. Everything comes from the enemy in an attempt to cause mass distress, confusion and personal turmoil. I believe once we as the Church understand that fact, then we can direct our negative emotion onto the real enemy. Our battle is not against those of a different ethnicity or occupation as us. Our battle is not against someone of another religion or sexual orientation. Our battle is against the power working behind the evil that is causing the problem. Our battle is with Satan and his measly minions.
Last time I checked, the God we serve is FAR greater than Satan. He can breathe and disintegrate him. So why doesn’t God do anything? Why doesn’t He just wipe out evil people before they do anything evil? Why doesn’t He intervene?
He chose us to do that.
It’s time for the Church to actually BE THE CHURCH. How much time do we really spend in prayer? I’m talking personal one-on-one intimacy with Jesus. How many church services do we sit in where people are getting supernaturally delivered and healed? How many of us are witnessing to people about the love of Jesus instead of cursing them with our words? How can we expect our country to turn around if all we’re doing is spewing out curses on our leadership and fellow citizens?
We have got to stop allowing the enemy to make his way into our hearts, families, churches and communities. We have to start magnifying God and His goodness over what the enemy is doing. WE are the Church. WE are the remnant of people He chose to be alive at this time. Now, that doesn’t mean we turn a blind eye to whats going on around us. We have to stand up for what we believe in just like anyone would. We have to fight for family and life. We are the ones that represent “good” in the world, so we are held at a higher standard. We are the ones that the world is looking to for answers when things are chaotic. We have to act as a guidepost and point all people to the only One that can help them. Because our eyes have been opened, we are held more responsible for what we say and do than those who have not believed yet. The only way to change the society we live in is through Jesus. The world is waiting for us to mess up so they can blasphemy the name of God, and a lot of times we give them ample opportunity. Satan has weaseled his way into our churches, families and daily lives to try and prove to the world that followers of Jesus are hypocrites.
We have got to become the bride that Jesus is waiting on.
Isaiah 60: 1-2 says,
“Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness (all) peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you.” AMP
The closer we get to the return of Jesus, the more darkness there will be. BUT, there will be light at the same time. WE are the light because of Jesus. There will be healings, deliverances, people raised back to life – everything that the New Testament church did and more. The Bible says that we will do greater things than the former church. How are we going to get to that point if we are focusing our battle on human flesh instead of the real enemy? The entire Church isn’t there yet, but we HAVE to get there. It’s time to get out of our laziness and do something. The world is literally going to hell, and we just sit back and say a couple prayers here and there hoping it will change all the while cursing our government, people not like us, and our country. Instead of saying hateful things about Obama, Hillary and Trump, why don’t we pray that their hearts turn to Jesus and that He visits them personally? Why don’t we pray for the evil to be exposed instead of praying our will? God’s heart is always love, and He’ll leave the 99 to go after the 1 that strayed away. It’s never too late for someone to have a personal relationship with the Father through His Son Jesus.
The bottom line is, the world needs more Jesus. We need more of His love, His peace, His patience and His forgiveness.
So I challenge anyone that calls themselves a follower of Jesus Christ to wake up! This is not a time to figure out if you want to be on board. This is not a time to go to church on Sunday mornings and act spiritual for a couple hours then continue on with your life during the week. This is not a time to shy away from the Holy Spirit and what He wants to do. It’s not a time to be afraid. It’s not a time for people in church leadership to be concerned with what people think about your service. Follow the Holy Spirit. Stop doing what the world is doing and BE THE CHURCH. You may be the only Jesus people see during the day. Start acting like Him. It’s time to unite as believers and turn our anger toward the real enemy. We can annihilate him by doing what God called us to do, and that’s being the true Bride of Christ, the Remnant.
Let’s start a movement of life, love, healing, and deliverance. Let’s be united.
